I posted almost the exact thing yesterday expect I flipped KO with Nelson as I didn't want to put two rookies on the same line |

I was defending the defensemen yesterday but, wow they looked bad last night. Like I was mentioning yesterday as well we need a goalie to make big saves and timely goals. We got that last night and won. Thats the difference from this year to last year. Hopefully Strome will change some of the dynamic and get some secondary scoring. Capuano better start Poulin tomorrow night. |

Anyone know if Poulin was injured or was it just a cramp? |

while it was a bit of a relief to have the losing streak over last night, it's hard to look at it as a positive thing at this point in the season. To get to nhl 500 we'd have to win 9 more games than we lose over the remainder of the season, plus we're going to need to be about 5-10 games over 500 at the end of the year to get to a playoff position. The season is essentially over prior to christmas. There's little hope this team will even make it back to 500 with the current roster and coaching staff. Fun to see them win, then the crushing reality of it sinks in, and it no longer matters.

A huge victory if it can turn into the start of a streak, that said changes still need to be made just because a broken clock is right twice a day doesnt mean you dont fix it! Crappy needs to go, Grabs and Bailey need to wake up or hit the bricks.. and a d man must be brought in immediately.. over pay it doesnt matter .. Snow needs to show some sort of desperation god dam it ! |

To be honest, I've seen enough of Bailey in scoring roles at this point. He's proven himself to be nothing more than a two way forward so that's the role I want him in now.
I also favor starting Strome off at RW to get him acclimated to NHL speed. Less thinking involved.
I also want some physicality out there with him as a means of protection though. Unfortunately we don't have anyone on this team who can do both.
So.....I'd go
Vanek Tavares Strome
Grabner Nielsen Okposo
Nelson Bailey Clutterbuck (yes, I'm moving Bailey back to center)
Martin Cizikas McDonald
I liked the chemistry Grabs, Nielsen and KO showed a couple of years ago together. In addition, Tavares and Strome have worked out together in the offseason so there's a certain amount of familiarity not to mention a decent way for Strome to play with two guys that will take the pressure off him.
Bailey goes back to his natural position but in a two way role rather than scoring role when he first entered the league. He'd have gritty wingers capable of getting in the dirty areas for his passes.
Frankly I can come up with several different combos that I'd feel okay with, but I've had it with Josh in a top six role at this point. |

Of course, I'm not opposed to flipping Strome and KO to allow Strome to play with a defensively responsible pair like Grabs and Nielsen. |

So according to many, Wang is rich beyond anyone's wildest dreams but refuses to spend on a team that's far more profitable than even Forbes or the IRS knows, Snow is clueless and can barely figure out which key opens his office door and refuses to ask any GM about possible upgrades all the while being secretive and closed behind his office door afraid to answer those who have dared to question him. Both of them WANT TO LOSE!

Friends Strome was drafted as a center has played every game at center... He will play center until he proves he can't. Their is no reason to move him to the wing. |

His first three games games he played wing then flipped with Nelson. Sorry almost every game. This season he has played every game at center. That's what I was trying to say... Poorly lol |

Hmmmmm...so then why move PMB, a winger, down rather than Regin, a center with a two way contract? |

Except Capuano is not going to move Neilsen off the second line. |

Because it was believed Bouchard would be picked up by someone. Regin would clear with no problem. I wouldn't doubt if PMB is called back up and Regin is sent down. |

well, I suppose that's reasonable to assume. I thought he'd get plucked by someone, though it was telling when they said he had been unable to get any takers for a deal. Bags of pucks are pricey these days |
